Android Messages on the Web?

    Not here either on my Pixel 2. I'm on the P beta...wonder if that makes a difference.

    Maybe. I'm on P Beta on my 2XL. Why would that be a thing?

    WhatsApp has done something similar for a while now.

    That is true. But I don't know anyone who uses WhatsApp that I talk to. And I'm not going to try to force my family and friends onto it.

    I have it on my Pixel Xl, running P dev preview 3. I believe its a server side thingy.

    I got a prompt from Messages app after I read this thread. Not sure if I solicited it though. Seems to work ok. However I have been using MightyText for some time and it opens a window with new message sent. Messages just sends a general notification to pc.

    No sign on my S9 …… yet but been using WhatsApp and Line versions ok

    Yeah, like Apple Messages, benefits of this feature will be felt most in the US where too many still rely on SMS/MMS as their primary messaging platform.

    working for me on my G7 and Chrome browser on my work PC. It's a little slow (slow to send and slow to read new messages) but working OK at the moment.
