I was so excited when I found out that I can install Android on my (only) iPhone (it is a 1st gen). After a couple hours of work, I installed it on my aging iPhone. I am able to dual boot it between iPhone OS and Android 1.6. My issues lie in the Android side of things. On Android, I am unable to get on AT&T's cellular network. It recognizes the contacts from my SIM card, and it can recognize my cell phone number, but it cannot connect to AT&T's cellular network. It greets me with no bars and a message on the lock screen that simply says "No Service." When I boot back into iPhone OS, I get full bars of service and Edge, and full bars of WiFi.

Is this an issue with APN settings? If so, can anybody give me the correct APN settings for AT&T?

It is also difficult to connect to WiFi with Android on my iPhone 2G, but that is not such a big issue.

not much help but good job on doing that. props. like android and its support levels. try an android forum and it'll help out

Really? Really? it seems like you only came here for attention from that comment and the reason it wont work is that the 0.1 build doesnt really support carriers it can sometimes get signal but not consistantly enough
