I’ve had both, iPhone is better in my experience. But it seems to be quite down to individual preference.

TBH, I’m sure I’d get along fine with an Android device after a while. I just like the sleekness of iOS compared to Android. But I also vastly prefer MacOS to windows so there’s a backstory there.

I don’t think you can make a wrong decision these days with regard to phones; which is a good thing in the end.

Love the endless tweaking and customization on Android. I had the Note 10+ for 3 months but just can't deny the smoothness and ease of use of IOS. Sold the Note 10+ and bought the 11 Pro Max. Like some of the folks here, our household is in the Apple ecosystem and having an Android phone just didn't fit well for me. The Note 10+ is a great phone and if it ran IOS, I probably would have kept it...ha!

I came to iOS from Windows Phone. When I decided to move to another platform, I selected iOS over Android for a couple reasons.
1. Operating System updates. Android is a lot like Windows Phone in that it is carrier dependent on updates. Apple controls the update process and that was important to me.
2. Security. I felt that Apple was a more secure platform over Android. Lots of opinions on this I’m sure, but I like Apples commitment to security and privacy.
It’s been over 3 years since I switched and I have no regrets on my choice.

There are times I want and need a backup, want to see if some behavior is with iOS or Android. I can’t buy media from Amazon on iPhone but can on Android also.

Apple has had to push NINE updates to iOS. They know that’s bad. Android 10 is nice, monthly security updates, comparable security unless you are reckless. Project treble now isolated carrier and core system making updates no longer an issue, which OEM and Google recognizes was a problem.

Apples forced upgrading is double edged sword.

I switched from Android only because the video recording on iPhone is better. H265, 4K, OIS, many good video apps. If Android has good OIS for front and back cameras with good video quality, I’ll switch back again.

Otherwise, there’s nothing you can‘t do on the Android. And there are so many different phones you can choose from.

Yet another iOS vs. Android thread. OP, try an iPhone and if it doesn't fit into your life / setup / ecosystem just return it within 14 days. What works for 10 people doesn't work for 10 other people. Try it for yourself and make a decision based on your experience. Enjoy.
