Any other long time Android Users considering the switch to iPhone but holding back for USB-C? I know it seems a pretty reason but my current phone and headphone case uses it. iPads and MacBooks use it. Everything is USB-C except the iPhone, lol. Really don't want to track two different cord types, but alas, sounds like I'll be waiting awhile if that's my only holdup.

My headphones use it and tbh idc. You’re not going to get USB type C they would of done it by now. Their going fully wireless according to the talks in the internet so no point of switching

Pretty sure it's been just analysts and internet speculation claiming USB-C is a no-go for iPhones. I doubt Apple will change ports myself but don't believe they've explicitly made that statement.

There's no benefit for Apple to change from Lightning to USB-C. It's as simple as that. It makes sense for iPad and MacBook, but not iPhone.

The brand new iMac comes with a Lightning cable to charge the keyboard and mouse. AirPods are all Lightning. That tells you a lot.

You might be waiting a while, since it’s never coming to any iPhone, apple will be going port less in the next few years.

USB-C is one of the reasons why I'm considering switching to the iPhone. The USB-C port always wears out long before the rest of the phone, no matter how gingerly I handle it. From what I've read, the Lightning port is more durable. Guess I'll find out.

As much as i love Apple, they can be hypocrites sometimes. They promote and market how good and versatile USB C is (which it is but beside the point) when making the Macbooks USB C only and taking away the USB A, HDMI ports etc, and then also on the iPad Pros and Air 4. But on their highest selling and most successful device, the Iphone, they keep it with the Lightning port. Its clear to everyone they kept lightning for MFI licensing fees. Just reeks of hypocrisy and greed.

Considering all recent iPhones since the 11 comes with USB-C to lightning cable, it won't mater to you as the USB-C end can connect to Macs and your existing chargers.

I don't think apple will change lightning port to USB-C. Apple seems to be switching to wireless. We might get a portless iPhone some time in tne future.

i dont really care if its USB-C or Lightning or whatsoever...what matters is the fast charging capabilities.USB-C is good but theres too many variants.

The only thing I don't like about wireless is that the battery gets hotter than a crotch, which cannot be good for longevity.
