Angry Birds CRASH

After the latest update, Angry Birds is crashing while trying to go into the game all the freaking time. I did not sync to iTunes after the update. Is there a way to revert back to the old version?
 
after yesterdays update , my crashing stopped .
did you update v1.3.4 ?
 
I need somebody to try something.

If yours is crashing all the time when you launch it, turn off your wifi. AB opens when I turn wifi off.
 
mine crashing as well . mine dosen't even start anymore .f'n annoying

A reboot of the iPad fixed my crash problem. Hasn't quit since the reboot. Might want to give that a try.
 
I wish i would have read this thread earlier. I wasn't that far into the game but I lost all my progress because of the crashing. I dont understand why these dev's dont have a cloud backup system.
 
I played mine several times this morning, but when i tried to open it this afternoon, it wouldn't do anything.
 
Angry Birds crashing

I have both versions. The HD for iPad will not load. I've tried the different work arounds suggested. They haven't worked for me. I've been using the version for the iPhone on my iPad and have had no problems.
 
Had the same problem, it crashed every time I tried to load it. Even after rebooting. Tried the turning off the wi-fi trick and that worked! Thanks

I updated last week. I like the update. Passed all the new levels and have been trying to get 3 stars in all of them. All of a sudden, AB HD started crashing. I'd hate to lose all my progress. And I didn't want to wait weeks for another update. I Googled for any workaround and BOOM! Got this thread with your brilliant suggestion.

Same problem here. And at first turning off wifi and 3G worked but now the game won't start even with them turned off. Hoping for an update to fix this soon!
 
Angry Birds

I have experienced a very few crashes and loss of audio a couple of times when I started the game. But nothing that makes it unplayable though!

They have released another update 1.3.4 to solve all the crash problems, and I have not experienced a crash after that!

Ditto... I was so excited to read the wi-fi suggestion and then went to try it, and no luck. Still won't load.
I deleted and restarted once before, but don't want to do that again!


EDIT: AIRPLANE mode allows me to launch now. Hope that holds until the next release.

Thanks! I tried turning off the wifi on my iPad and now Angry Birds HD is working again. Not sure why the wifi would affect AB but at least I know how to get back into the game. Hopefully they will put out an update soon here to fix the actual problem.
 
Just curious, out of the users who cannot play with wifi on, how many have registered for the crystal part? Mine worked til I registered and I believe that it uses wifi to connect to the server to update. Maybe that is the cause for the crash. A friend of mine has the app but has not signed up for the crystal part and his works just fine. Just a thought...
 
I contacted the developer and they said it was a memory problem and to switch into "airplane mode" (which means turn off wi-fi on my wifi only iPad).

They have submitted an update to Apple which fixes the problem, so there should be something on iTunes very soon.
