Angry Birds CRASH

Just curious, out of the users who cannot play with wifi on, how many have registered for the crystal part? Mine worked til I registered and I believe that it uses wifi to connect to the server to update. Maybe that is the cause for the crash. A friend of mine has the app but has not signed up for the crystal part and his works just fine. Just a thought...

I didn't register for Crystal and it still refuses to start .. going to wait for the update and hope they've solved the problem.

Here is a temporary solution to get everything working:
1. Turn off 3G.
2. Turn off wifi.
3. Turn on wifi, immediately return to the main screen and run angry birds.
This will let you start the game before your iPad connects to the wireless network and enjoy Crystal leaderboards and achievements in a few seconds.
NEVER delete and reinstall the game, cause you will lose the progress.

Ok so now I have the 1.4 version and still... crashing. tried all suggestions on the forum w WiFi, airplane mode, etc... Still no luck! Anyone?

We loaded AB 1.4 a few weeks ago on my son's new Ipod Touch. Upgraded to OS 4.0. We loved it. Now it fails to load. Tried the WiFi / Airplane mode 7 no luck. Also tried a reset. Nada. I'm tempted to just delete and re-install, but my son is freaking out about losing his progress.

After the latest update, Angry Birds is crashing while trying to go into the game all the freaking time. I did not sync to iTunes after the update. Is there a way to revert back to the old version?

Isn't crashing what the angry birds suppose to do?

Yeah, problem still seems to be there with the latest update... Having the same problem now- fails to load. Wi-fi, Airplane mode, etc workarounds not working either

Guess I'll have to wait for the next update, there's no way I'm starting over from scratch... If developers are reading, CLOUD BACKUP PLEASE!!!

Restoring Angry Birds

My beloved angry birds crashed and wouldn't load anymore, so I finally found how to restore it without loosing all my hard earned points!

Here's how:
1. Download a free app: http://www.macroplant.com/iphoneexplorer/
2. While iTunes isn't running, launch iPhone Explorer
3. in iPhone Explorer, browse to <your phone>/Apps/com.clickgamer.AngryBirds/Documents
4. Drag and drop a file called highscores.lua to somewhere on your hard drive, say to your desktop and close iPhone Explorer
5. Delete Angry Birds from your phone (that's the hardest part...)
6. Restore it from iTunes
7. While iTunes is closed, Launch iPhone Explorer
8. Drag and drop highscores.lua back to where it belongs (<your phone>/Apps/com.clickgamer.AngryBirds/Documents)

That's it! If you launch Angry Birds, it will not only work now but also all your scores will be there. Isn't that great?

mine was working then started crashing. just loaded newest birds HD and it is still crashing. any ideas?

Thanks arielyaar. This works with the issues I was having with the 1.6 update. The only problem I ran into was that the iphone explorer app needs you to click quickly through the navigation in order to actually see the files. It seems like there is some sort of apple magic that causes iphone explorer to lose track of where it is.

And I specifically registered to thank you. This is the only solution I found that works with the 1.6 update (i.e. turn off wifi, reset, airplane mode, etc).
