Just a quick post. I was lucky enough to receive my Watch on Friday and have been playing about with it since.

Word of warning for users whose iPhone is on the VODAFONE network in UK.......The animated emojis are chargeable as multimedia messages, over and above inclusive text messages and data charges!!!

30 pence a time.

I sent one to a relation. It delivered to his iPhone as a SMS, although he is set up to receive iMessage.

Just got off a chat with vodafone, who confirmed this.

I am not sure whether this is the same on all networks.

Fair play to VODAFONE, they offered to refund the 30p - as I was unaware (and advised me to refrain from using the animated emoji).

Mine have been going through as iMessages to everyone. There must of been an issue with your signal at the time or something

Thanks for the warning, that didn't even cross my mind. I wonder if that is true for the drawings, hearbeats as well. I think that little detail could make me cancel my order.

Are they delivering to your recipient as an iMessage?

I was stood next to the relation at the time I sent, no signal issues and using a known wi fi network

Yep.

Are you experiencing the two-factory authentication bug? Happened to me initially. Messages were sending as SMS. The solution is to create an application-specific password for iMessage on your watch.

I sent one via O2 to a non iPhone. I just wanted to see how it would display. I've been charged 33p. I'm on O2.
