totally cool
HI, Thanks for reading this.

I know that you can change pictures every 5 seconds on the desktop, thats easy. But is there anyway to animate the desktop, i.e. put the aqaurium screen saver in the background while you work. My buddy has a PC with a tv tuner card and is able to play cable television on his desktop, so while he's working CNN is on in the background.

I know about the televio tuner card:

Which is now available for the G5. However it doesn't play on the desktop to my knowledge, it plays in a window.

If anyone could shed light on this it would be appreciated.

Thanks

back light 2 runs your screen saver in the bg. if you have QE you can use transparency. pretty sweet.

o and televio has been replaced by Miglia's Alchemy TV.

Also, if you have any video player (VLC or QT Pro) that you can play fullscreen and have you have 10.3, play the video at fullscreen and then press F11(exposé desktop view), click on your desktop, then press F11 again. This is a cheapo fix though because you now can't see any of the icons on your desktop; not that you can't guide through with finder but you still don't get the full effect.
