I just saw this today. It works well but I'm not sure how much extra battery usage it will consume. It's cool but I'm not keeping it active for too long at a time. Just thought I'd share.

I was going to use this, but failed to get it working. I just selected the Snow Effet them in Winterboard, and got a black background with white border around edges of the screen, and question mark image in center like it couldn't find my background image. So I selected User Wallpaper in Winterboard, and it displayed my iOS wallpaper, but it didn't display it at the correct resolution. It was all pixelated, even though the picture in my photo roll is full resolution made for the iphone 4.

I saw that someone was having that trouble on macthemes too. The developer of this said "U have to replace a local background in In iOS 4.2.1
Because this version of iOS font support the overlay file". To be honest I'm not sure what that means. Are you on 4.2.1? If so a poster there uploaded a modified version that works with his phone running 4.2.1. Here's the link if you're interested.

Another person was told that if they had an existing javascript effect on the homescreen like a clock or weather widget this snow theme should be placed below that in WinterBoard.
