Animoji near-impossible to share in iOS 12?

Is the only way of getting Animojis out of Messages really cropping screenshots?

That’s the way I do it. Wish it was a stand alone app... almost no one uses iMessage around me.

Memoji/Animoji should be a separate app. I agree. I really hope Apple does this and add more customization and features.

Just send it to someone or yourself on iMessage, long press the Animoji, then you can save to camera roll.

I don't see the save option on my Iphone xs Max ios 12.1 beta

That's weird. I have a X on 12.0. And if you close iMessage and reopen it, then again long press the message bubble where the Animoji is in, does it then show up?
