Hey guys. Just bought my first iPad this week and I'm trying to make it replace my need to haul my Macbook around everywhere with me. In order to do this, I'm looking for two types of apps - an annotation/pdf reader app and a note taking app. This is what I'm looking for:

Annotation:
- ability to highlight, underline and write on PDFs (either with stylus or finger)
- ability to search my entire collection of PDFs for keywords
- ability for pdfs that I've annotated to sync back to dropbox
Competitors: iAnnotate, Goodreader, PDF Expert - any opinions?

Note Taking:
- ability to save as a pdf file and come back to my note to edit the notes
- the whole palm feature or when I'm writing it doesn't detect my hand on the screen
- sync with dropbox and/or evernote
- any other features you guys recommend :)

I look forward to any opinions & recommendations you guys have.

Thanks!

GoodReader will get you started as it has everything.

iAnnote is by far the best PDF Anotating app.

Notability is one of the best note taking apps, and I expect it to get better. Apple recently bought hundreds of copies of Notabilty for their own employees.

I have them all and some apps are strong in only one feature.

A lot of the note taking apps are crap.

I have wasted a lot of money and time with them.
