HomeKit Announce Messages With Siri, Air Pods Pro and HomeKit

Has anyone gotten Announce Messages with Siri to work for HomeKit with Air Pods Pro? I have the slider turned on but nothing ever happens with it.

Apparently it’s an option but I have yet to see it work.

Aahh yea I see it! Wonder what it does...

Edit: apparently, according to a post on Reddit, it is to allow the intercom feature. Makes sense I guess.

Ah ok, yeah makes sense. Didn’t even think to check Reddit for an answer. My assumption was that it reads out motion and other notifications but I guess not lol. Thanks for the answer 👍
