Annoying issue - iTunes will not close

No matter what I do, iTunes will not stay closed. I can force quit it, quit it in activity monitor, exit the program, no matter what happens, it will reboot itself a few seconds later. Quite the annoying problem when trying to reboot! Anyone know of a fix?

No, nothing plugged in, no widgets, anything.

Is your library very large, or stored on an external disk or volume? Mine sometimes takes several seconds to exit as it re-writes the library to my network drive.
