Explain it to him in Latin. Then when he gives you a look of "I don't understand you" tell him that's exactly what a PowerPC CPU does when it is given Intell code.

How can I explain to my younger brother in an idiot proof way that a G5 can not be hacked to run an intel mac application?

hahah! How old is he? If he is like a 10 year old that thinks he "knows it all".. explain to him the Architecture difference, but not in too much detail.

I'm assuming you're already told him the futility of his enterprise.

Next step is to sit back and let him have at it. Some lessons are better learned on our own.

break his computer and spray paint 1337 h4xor3d on the case. should get the point across.

Show him this picture.

The Intel app being the circle hole & the G5 being the square. That 'oughta do it.

Explain to him that the Modern warefare is M rated and he shouldn't be playing it in the first place. And when he asks your parents simply play your parents the video from call of duty black ops where mason is tied up in a chair getting shocked and the dark voice is saying "Don't **** with me Mason!"

Is your little brother rabidz7?

No but I would laugh so hard dude! I would honestly kick him down a flight of stairs and post the video for your guy's entertainment.

He's actually 9 good guess though. I swear he has problems so its really hard. Plus I barely know, x86 is one code that isnt compatible with ppc thats pretty much it. Its impossible for me to remember the rest.

Hes watched adult movies with them I wish it were this easy. Only if you knew the feel.

I don't know Latin. Only English, Pittsburghese, sarcasm, and profanity.

Dude do you know where Adamstown is? If im guessing correctly you live in Pittsburgh which is within like 75miles of me.

Woah there, that was harsh ppcfanforever1! There's a movie I saw where that happens already though.

He's a kid, just let him be.

lol. And trust me it would not hurt him to much.

I suppose I'll just let him learn, I learned from 4 up when I got my performa from my dad I guess he can learn at 9 with his G5 lol

Are you familiar with Maryland? I reside there and mostly its half and half wth PC on one camp, Mac on the other.

His 9 year brother probably has twice the processing power compared to Rabidz.

HA HA!!!!!!! Anyways I would tell him to get in touch with rabidz or if he wont beleive it tell him to try it and he will learn.

hahahahaha yeah running Mountain Lion via Emulation, and works like a normal installation? Suuuuuuureeeee

He must be banned. He 'suggested' me to use a hammer to get a torx screw out...

I don't know if this was already mentioned, but you should tell him that an Intel program cannot be hacked to run on a PowerPC...It'd have to be totally re-written for the PowerPC. In some cases, the program (or game) would have to be re-written and re-designed to run on a PowerPC. Sometimes, it'd have to be re-built from scratch or the ground up, using nothing but a couple references from the Intel version. I think that there are some Intel programs that can't even be written for the PowerPC, IMO. That's what I 'know'.

Intel and PowerPC are two very different architectures and Intel is much faster and more powerful than PowerPC now.
