Suggestion - to prevent the on-slaughter of delivery, pre-order, etc. threads congesting the regular forums, has there been a thought to create an annual iDevice section that can house all of the pre-order questions, delivery threads, complaints about shipping delays, etc.

It can either be a single forum, that just is a running history, or sectioned off by year. Seems we are accustom to September events, so you almost know it will be coming.

Thoughts?

Shouldn't it be just a delivery section? Or do people not post about the releases of new macs anymore?

Wouldn't it get confusing if apple had multiple releases? I can see it being an unorganized mess with just the iPhone and watch this year, but what happens if they have multiple products like iPads, or apple tvs, and like what @Mac'nCheese mentioned, Macs. Even with prefixes it would seem we'd have so many pre-order and delivery threads that I think it would defeat the purpose.

It makes sense to have the delivery/order threads in the product forum, i.e., iPhone forum. The volume of order and delivery threads is a temporary issue as the phone and will calm down in the course of time.

I'm not saying its a bad idea, in fact it has some merit, but I do wonder how in practice it would actually be. Then there's the questions that may be delivery related or order related - where do those go. Most people will opt for the product forum. That is, my order is stuck, or ATT cancelled my order, etc etc
