Another (13") next MBP Thread

The tittle says it.

What would make me insta-buy the next models...

(13")
-CPU is very good right now (but an upgrade is never a bad thing 😛 Ivy Bridge? 😉)
-Resolution of the screen: PLEASE Apple do something!
-mini SSD for OS + traditional HDD or at least 320 gb SSD 🙂/ dreaming heh? But we need some space!)
-The new models will probably be more MBAir-like so...
-Remove the Super Drive (that leaves more space for...)
-A GPU worth it... ok... at least decent...
-Maybe a bigger battery?

Is it somehow realistic?

What would make you insta-buy the next model? Something realistic or a dream Machine?

1. Ivy Bridge would be the best, but the product cycle and Intel's research schedule do not coincide.
2. Agreed, but this may cause a hindered color accuracy.
3. Maybe.
4. No. The new models will probably not be MacBook Air-like. The Pro line has to be easily distinguished from the weaker, more "generic" Air line, especially when same screen sizes are involved. Apple may tweak the Unibody design, but the overall shape will still be the same.
5. I wouldn't like it, but this is what most laptop vendors seem to be doing...
6. No. Space is but a small issue in why there's no GPU in the 13". Even if you removed the SuperDrive and stuck a GPU in that space, the heat generated would easily overheat not only the GPU and the CPU, but also the adjacent battery and the hard drive. This would cause a catastrophic failure of the entire laptop. Not only that, the laptop will be very, very hot. If, as you speculate, the MacBook Pro becomes thinner and more Air-like, then this will be an extremely huge issue because the giant heatsink which is the Unibody will be thinner.
7. Read above. Also, bigger battery = heavier laptop

What would make the 13" awesome
1. SSD (or at least SSD+HDD combo or a hybrid SSD)
2. Higher resolution screen (AG would be a selling point for many)
3. Longer battery life while keeping same battery size
4. External dock via Thunderbolt (see Sony VAIO)
5. Lighter?
