I very recently asked for help and recommendations for a monitor to add to my MacBook Pro 14" so that I could work split screen. I am now looking in a slightly different direction and am at a loss again. One of my (many) problems is not knowing the correct vocabulary to describe what I am looking to do. So I want to start with that. And this is probably going to be insanely basic, but here I go. I had been thinking of a 27" monitor to have two sites up in split screen on that one monitor. But experimentation leads me to think I would be just as happy using my MacBook for one screen and getting a less than 27" monitor to use as the second screen. But connected so the I could drag-and-drop data from the external monitor over into the MacBook screen or vice versa. It took me a week and a call to Apple to figure out the split screen definition. What is it one calls operating as I described here using the MacBook screen and a small external monitor? This is so that I can search YouTube for how to videos. Thanks!
