Just returned my 4th i5 last night (week 51), or should I say, never even left the store with it. After paying for it, opened it in the store, the iMac seemed to be as perfect as it should be until I noticed this white speck on the LCD, not under the glass but 'inside' the panel itself. The Apple employees helping me saw it immediately after I pointed to it. See, it's not even noticeable at first glance but it's there upon close examination. Back in the box it was and 4 refunds after, I'm still heartbroken without an iMac. I noticed this same white/clear speck, as small as a sesame seed on 3 of the iMacs I returned which had several other problems themselves (iSight dead pixel, dust in glass, noticeable yellowing, etc.). I know it's not a dead or stuck pixel because it's not noticeably bright. It's faint but greatly noticeable on a white background. I am a video editor and photographer and I will never accept a screen like this. Has anyone experienced this with theirs? If not, check again. Don't want to bring this up to fan the flames but this really concerns me about Apple's QC on these iMacs. The units I have taken home and returned were all week 50-53 manufactured. One good thing about this is how Apple employees dealt with my problem...they were excellent to say the least.
