Another Cracked Iphone what is the deal??

Ok so I had my first iphone 4 fell about 2.5 feet and the whole front screen shattered, apple would not cooperate on a free replacement so I ponied up the 199 fee because my screen was not working properly. (keep in mind this was the only time I had ever dropped this phone.) Had the replacement phone about a week friend bumped me walking in my kitchen and my phone was in my pocket which hit the side of the cabinet face flat naturally I didnt think anything of it I had my bumper and invisishield on front and back. Took it out shortly after and the back was shattered. Apple as usual does not want to cooperate with me on a free replacement I barely bumped into the cabinet with all the necessary protection devices recommended by apple and it still broke. I had a 3g prior to this for over two years dropped and all kinds of stuff never had a scratch or a crack. This makes me quite unhappy just waiting on replacement backs to come out and replace it myself as it looks to be an easy task but pay 199 again I think not.

Angry Iphone 4 owner. :mad:

1) Apple doesn't owe you any replacement for free, only in your dream world they do.

2) How does someone break 2 phones, 2 new iP4's in such a short time? sounds like you're careless with your stuff bro

3) Get over it, take better care of your property!
 
My back was exactly like this last weekend when I was drunk and dropped it.

Went the next day to apple store and got a free replacement under five minutes.
 
If I had the old phone yes that would be great but I had to return it when I got the replacement. A

And yes I take very good care of my phones they always have cases and screen protectors on them and rarely do I ever drop them, this phone just seems extra fragile to me.
 
Well.. This isn't going to fix your phone, but a case would have 100% prevented the second break.

I dropped my i4 face down at the mall chasing after my 2 year old, and my Belkin Vue Grip bounced it on to its back, no marks at all..

As far as "what the deal is", well, its glass..sorry man.

What did they say about what happened to it. I called in and they told me no that they couldnt Im not sure what else I can do but wait.

For some reason I dont buy that you had a case on the 2nd time.

Don't call just go in an make a genius appointment and act like a victim I'm sure they'll be nice enough to do it for free to you just like me and other people I know that has happen this to then got a replacement free.

I think most people who have been successful in getting free replacements have gone to the genium bar in person, do you have one nearby? I know Apple doesn't "owe" you anything but other people have been getting free replacements so why not you? Good luck OP, accidents happen to everyone!

You paid for that broken phone, and you paid for the replacement, and they kept it?

I dropped a double-wall glass mug while washing it in the sink the other day. It was my favorite coffee mug, too. So mad.

The $199 replacement program requires you to return the broken phone. Outside of the program a replacement would cost like $600 sooo I don't think anyone got "pwned" here.
