Came from from work yesterday to find this gem sitting on my desk:
Yep, an iBook G3 snow. Long story short, a family member rescued it from a recycler. It turns out that laptop originally belonged to a local school and was recycled a few years ago, and through a few friends of friends of family members, it ended up in my hands yesterday. Being passed down from a school, it was in pretty rough cosmetic shape, but there's nothing some rubbing alcohol and elbow grease can't clean up. Overall, it cleaned up pretty nicely, and everything seems to function perfectly. It's currently running Tiger, and feels quite snappy. As an added bonus, I got three batteries; they're all later model batteries from a 12" iBook G4, but they seem to work and hold a charge.
