While I was waiting for my dock to arrive, I decided to make my own and took some ideas I got from the forums and tweak it a bit. I used the inside board as a backing for the charger and wrapped the chord flat under the box. I would do some things a little differently such as be careful with the hot glue and align things more evenly. Overall, it didn't come out too bad considering it was free, this was my first time making it, and I only had one shot.

Edit: Was able to remove the hot glue and used super glue instead. Please see comment #6 for new pictures.

Edit #2: I decided to use the top half of the box to cover the cables. Please see post #11 for pic.

Pictures with and without the watch using hot glue. Was able to remove hot glue and use super glue instead. See comment #6 for new pictures.

Thanks! Didn't really care much on how the bottom looked since no one will see that part. I was able to remove the hot glue and used super glue instead. Turned out a bit better. Here are some new pictures:

Nice!

I actually had a similar idea. As soon as I realized the box works as a stand/watch charging area I decided not to buy a watch stand... I actually thing the box (for the SS watches) works just fine. That little notch holds the watch upright perfectly and the magnetic puck easily attaches.

Nice! I'm using my box as the charger as well. I would do this same thing, but don't want to mess up the box for when I resell the watch when Gen 2 comes out. :)

Great idea though and looks like it will work well

Pretty cool - but I'd like to see a more finished job on the underside where the cables go. This reminds me of something I'd do on my high school robotics team - "hmm maybe we should bolt that in...nahhhh duct tape is good enough"

I wasn't planning on working on this case/dock anymore, but your post made me think. I decided to use the top part of the box and cover the underside where the cables were. Here are pics of what I did:
