i am trying to open a downloaded file and eveytime it tells me that "there is no default application to open this",i think i may have ckicked something off"..
anyone?

It is likely compressed ... expanding it will be done by using StuffIt.
 
i have expanded it and i get a autorun.ard file and it then says i have no application to open it
 
maybe that is because .ard is a very uncommon format, and you probably just dont have a program to open it with?
 
What's the name/purpose of the file? I don't know much about ARD but Autorun sounds suspiciously like it's a PC disk image.
