I could see how this could happen. When one places an item for auction on Ebay one writes a brief description, something like "PowerMac G5" and then Ebay shows you pictures of the item with more specifics which you then choose from. If you did not know what you had then there are something like 8 different PowerMac G5 models to pick from, so I could see picking the wrong one.

Still, it is the sellers responsibility to make sure they are listing the correct item.
which is why I would like Ebay to make away with these preset stuff. There are even caes, where you can't put something on auction, if you don't accept what they sugguest. For example, if you write "PowerMac G4 733MHz, 120GB HDD, 2GB RAM DVD-DL" and they tell you "it seems you are wanting to sell parts, please choose another category. Oh, smart Ebay
Which part of Berlin was it in, was it Neukölln or Marzahn?
Well, it was Kreuzberg. Yes, I know Kreuzberg has changed a lot and is now home of style-hippies and young yuppies, but he fullfilled some of the clichees of the former inhabitants, known for that part.
Prenzl'berg, exil for Swabians.
Heh, I don't think he sold me a 1,8GHz for a 2,7GHz out of being stingy. :D

Thats exactly like this fellow here. He has these two old macs. I didnt post the other one but ge wants $300 bucks each for what looks like the gossamer powermac g3 i have that i bought for $10. This is insane and its sad when people get hooked. I went to school with a guy that blew $450 on an old ibook g4 1ghz. They guy completely scammed him into believing this was the same mac that i own the white c2d white macbook 3,1. It was really sad. Do your research before purchasing these macs!!

Wow, how long ago was this? $450 for an old iBook G4 is just absurd... I bought one for $7, yes $7. I agree people should really do their homework before buying anything in general, but especially when buying old/used computers.

Quick question, what craigslist app is that, or is it kijijijijijijijijijijijijijij?

There are unfortunately quite a few with unrealistic expectations on eBay. They get to relist.

To be fair, it DOES have the box and stuff and it looks nice!

I do see that but on Gumtree you can get this virtually brand new boxed if you so wish:

Powerbooks are two a penny by comparison and the 867Mhz is the least desirable of the 12" PBs. The iToilets are probably more ornament than anything but are considerably harder to find, especially without cracks, chips and missing pieces.
