Ever since Calvin & Hobbes departed, and Bloom County was consigned to daily oblivion over 10 years ago, Foxtrot has been my comic of choice. Its well written and extremely intelligent. Two weeks ago, the Sunday strip was partially written in Morse Code. To understand the humor, you needed to translate the morse code to discover the Lord of the Rings punchline.

I've been enjoying those. Bill Amend is a big Mac fan and is probably reading your post here right now.

I love Foxtrot. You can count on something related to Apple once a week.

I also have the Foxtrot Widget. The picture could be bigger though.

Since the strips seem to disappear after a month or so I though it might be better to attach this whole weeks worth of iFruit themed strips (including the two shown above). Remember that you can get your daily dose over at goComics. ;)

Enjoy.

Real World Check.....

Most of the country doesn't konw what hes talking about!!! Why couldn't apple just died when it was suppose to instead of flopping aimless on the beach and just adding confusion to an already depressed market.

I think MAC useres should be forced to relive the days when all you could get is mac hardware and software that they thought was what you needed.

So why is Foxtrot trying to push apple hard now? Just to save his little world in California? Does he really think the rest of the world cares about apple.

Uses apples as boat anchors.

You should be thankful for Apple and this forum. Otherwise, where would you go to get attention when mommy and daddy ignore you?

Um, okay, Bill Gates. Our wish is your command! Down with competition and innovation!

I guess to each their own? I thought the whole week of strips (I went and read the whole recent iFruit part on the website) was not particularly funny, and more of an ad for Apple than anything else... but okay, sure, why not?

Case in point: How much did you pay for that Hot Mac of yours that can barely play COD2. I have $600 bucks in my home built machine and 70 fps is a piece of cake. Bet you look trendy though with your budies.

 WHAT? REALLY?? OMG I MUST GO AND BUY A PC NOW! :p

Sorry, I realised that my Mac couldn't play many games when I bought it, most people on this forum who game seriously will use Windows to do it.

Most people use their Mac for work/study, in my area (mathematics with some programming/physics too) my computer is far more suitable than a Windows PC, I can do far more with it than my friends manage with their PC's, though some may be that I'm more techie than them.

I'm suprised you haven't added that Mac's only have a 1 button mouse (I've never used one with mine) and that they don't run MS Office (Um, they do).

You know, some of us use our computers for things besides games.

I also build PCs for folks. So you are not saying anything new.

BTW, what OS are you using on the PCs that you build? What software/applications are you using? Did you factor the price of these in your $600 cost? Bet not.

Maybe we shouldn't feed the... troll.

It's so much fun though! And we seem to have driven him away with our sensible arguments.:p

Anyway back to topic, Foxtrot seems really cool, I went and read the last month of cartoons, they were really good.:)

Why would a MAC be more suited for programming/physics?

The only possible area that MAC has an advantage over a PC is there video editing software and my Pinnacle software's recent HD releas took that advantage away. I program in Visual Basic, C. Admit you boys just paid too much. Bottom line. End of Story. Thats why the majority of the world is using PC's. So why does mr foxtrot have an axe to grind with. Get off of it that is all I am saying.

As far as the comment about making Mr. Gates rich, I think someone is getting confused over operating systems and hardware. I can run several operating systems on my PC, I am not limited to MacOS.
