Is there a way in iTunes to replace every 'feat' or 'featuring' with 'ft'?

This might be worth a try:

Setup a search for your terms.

You should now have a list containing both Feat and Feature songs.

Select all the songs in the resulting list.
Now, do "Get Info..." CMD-I

I'm assuming the word Feat and Feature are in the same field, so if you type in "ft", and check the box next to it, you will only update that field for all the selected songs. (it only updated/overwrites modified fields / checked fields)

Yeah but e.g. I have a song with feat in the artist field;...Artist: Blu Cantrell feat Sean Paul, I do not want to replace all that with ft, only the Feat bit.

if the search results in all the songs with Artist: Blu Cantrell feat Sean Paul, they you can do same procedure, just change feat to ft, and leave the rest of name the same.

not quite the same, I know, as a global search and replace.

Do some searching for Applescripts to do this. Or, search for apps at VersionTracker. I'll post if I find something.

Thats what I do now.
