My MBP began putting itself to sleep recently (without the usual warning) when the battery showed around 40% charge. The battery indicator light on the battery itself indeed flashes when this happens as though the battery were nearly empty.
I tried recalibrating the battery, resetting the PRAM, and resetting the PMU.
I checked the battery's status in System Profiler after all of the resets, and it shows full charge capacity at 3286mAh. This MBP and battery are only a few months old. Isn't that awfully low?
