I would like to be able to do raid 5 on my mac pro using the RocketRAID 2302 Host Adapter does anyone know if this will work on the macpro it does use PCI-e x1 (x4, x8 and x16) slot compatible . I have installed the Newer eSATA Extender Cable for Mac Pro will it somehow conflict with the raid setup ie 2302 any advice for raid card would help.
would also like to keep the cost of card under 250$.

    thankz

Daft question - is there a reason you'd prefer the 2302 over the 2304? The 2304 has 4 external eSATA connectors, but the 2302 has two external eSATA connectors and two internal eSATA connectors. Internal eSATA connectors aren't that useful.

The RocketRaid 2304 is $190.75 shipped from Tiger Direct.
