There I was, minding my own business, casually looking through the ads with nothing special in mind, when one particular post leapt out at me. 'iBook G4 - superb condition in original box.' Reading further, and seeing the photos made me sit up straight, and think. I didn't have this model of iBook, it looked almost like new, and how many still around today like that, etc....and other related thoughts rapidly came to mind. And where was is? A three hour drive away!
That particular day my little lady was visiting her mother, and probably wouldn't even know if I went on yet another PPC spending spree. If I came back empty-handed, no problem, and if I did make a purchase she would in all probability hardly notice yet another small laptop on the now crowded shelves.
Fast forward a number of hours. I arrived home with the iBook, pleased that I made the deal, and also because it was a superb drive, deep into a part of the country I'd never visited before.
Here are a few pictures (not taken the same evening I hasten to add), as that would have aroused suspicions elsewhere.
And it's the last model in the iBook series at 1.33GHz. It performs flawlessly, and I'm delighted with this little gem. Another keeper.
