I know how to download a PDF file to the IPAD, but the question I have is there any APPS which will allow you to fill out a PDF form and electronically sign the form.

I don't think so. That's a desktop thing for now. And with Apple and Adobe locked in a pissing contest over flash, I don't expect adobe reader or acrobat on any iThing any time soon.

Someone is hopefully working on a PDF app that does both forms and document markups. That would make the iPad far more useful for me for work purposes. I agree it wouldn't be Adobe. I know there are a number of third party PDF apps for the PC - don't some of them do these more advanced functions?

I just found iAnnotate too. Not sure if it does forms specifically but it allows PDF markups. Looks pretty robust too. Nice!

Looks pretty good... iAnnotate that is. Here is a video for it.... click

You should be able to fill in forms by using text and or your finger. Signing the document would be done with the drawing features.
