You said you "couldn't reveal your sources" and your source is... Facebook. Yeah, it's still Mr Bob Ullcrap on line 1 for you I'm afraid.

LOL. My "source" was not quoted from Facebook - FB is the group which is dealing with many systems that have the same display issue and almost all are getting the screen replaced free. My "sources" was in relation an upcoming repair programme for this issue - I know no more than that.

My point is that you don't know anything, unless you heard it from an Apple exec director. You attempted to bolster your point by pointing out that there is a Facebook group and some people on there are reporting that they had their screens replaced.

In other words, you are speculating based on nothing more than rumours. There's no legitimacy to it beyond "I guess it might happen because some people have said they had their screen replaced".

It appears you have no idea of the english language. I have heard via various sources that Apple may have a repair programme soon in relation to this issue, however I have no further details beyond that - its scattered information.

The Facebook Group of you look has many people with this issue and most have had their screens replaced for free (including myself).

Are these sources Apple employees who report to senior executives in Cupertino?

If not, they're not sources, they're wild speculation.

You are now off topic. Fact is this is an issue which is not being created by the owner. The coating is done wrong and peeling only after a few months. For the fact Apple are replacing these screens within and outside of warranty proves there is an issue that Apple want fixed, but so far there lack of acknowledgment via an official repair programme is keep many in the dark.

UPDATE: This update is for people in the Commonwealth of Australia under Australian Consumer Law.

Spoke to the Apple store in Australia (Chermside) today and the lady told me that under Australian Consumer Law Apple must replace these screens. Be sure to mention it if you go in store in Australia they essentially have to fix anything thats less than 3 years old (for laptops). Yes 3 years hardware coverage.

How am I off topic? You claimed to have a source that made your comments more than speculation. I am stating that you do not.

Knowing this user with his secret "source", I strongly suspect he is just troǀǀing....

And one post (before your reply) is not "carrying on"

Listen here. The lady was the Apple employee at the store who passed on the information. What is it so hard for people to process this information?
Really? You posted earlier:
I cannot reveal my sources but let's say this issue is very common around the world.
Now you have revealed your "sources" and it's a just retail store employee, not a corporate Apple source, in Cupertino (HUGE difference)
So this means:
  • You can't be trusted (if it was a real source of inside information, DON'T reveal it, especially on a public forum like this.)
  • Your source is not a good one (Apple store employees don't know much more than the public)
  • Regarding the "let's say this issue is very common around the world" part, your source is a retail employee in Australia. How would she know about everything Apple around the world?
That other poster called it but just got the gender wrong: Ms. Betty Ullcrap

You are so confused it's not funny. My original post about "source" was from a Forum regarding this information. Only a couple of days ago I published new info about the screen issue from a person who visited the Apple store and had the issue fixed (according to Consumer Law in Australia). To date there has been no official programme, however its good to see Apple taking this seriously and resolving the issue. This issue is very common and prevalent and it doesn't take much to find this info on the web.

You have somehow inferred my source was from the Apple Store when the posting of both lots of information had a weeks' gap. Anyway lets keep on the subject of the screen issue and no more childish ramblings from yourself or others trying to misconstrue information.
