iPhone Another potential Battery Drain Issue....

Just noticed when I was scanning from my mac to hook onto a wifi network, it was also showing my iphone as a device to connect onto (personal hotspot). I checked the settings and personal hotspot was off, but tried to connect the mac anyway and it still connected.



Workaround - swtich off mobile data (only good if your in wifi to use the phone for more than just a phone!).



Not sure if anyone has seen this/corrabarate what I have seen.

That's been a feature for a while it's not new to iOS 9 but it shouldn't connect automatically, my phone shows but it won't connect unless I select that option from the wifi dropdown.

Lucky you, I haven't been able to use personal hotspot properly on my rMBP and 6+ ever since I upgraded to El Cap and iOS 9.
And yes, this is a feature that doesn't need to be enabled separately as personal hotspot, as long as you have bluetooth and wifi enabled on supporting devices - Mac with BT 4.0 card and iPhone 5 and newer.
