New 3 contracts will now include:

• Free 0800, 0808 and 0500 numbers
• 84* and 087* numbers just 5p per minute
• Texts alerts when you’re nearing your limit
• The ability to place spending caps
• Personal Hotspot functionality for all, but limited to 2GB if your plan includes All-You-Can-Eat data
• All-You-Can-Eat text messages
• A range of data allowances up to All-You-Can-Eat
• A range of minute allowances up to All-You-Can-Eat
Free device unlocking.

Literally the only carrier where it is worth the contract than buying the unsubsasides phone

The only problem is taking away unlimited tethering, a bit dissapointing.

It is disappointing, but I'm guessing with their 4G roll out they are trying to protect ALL customers from receiving woeful data speeds for the select few that end up streaming loads of Hi-Def music and videos etc.

Love Three but there signal in London is just poor, I was with them for the last 2 years and it started of amazing. Lovely unlimited data, 15mb all over London, but it just went bad over the course of the last 24 months too the point I had under 1MB or no signal most of the time. Moved and I miss there unbeatable value and unlimited data but I need signal or my phone is just a useless brick.

Hoping things improve and I can come back sometime, they still have my 'deal' on hold on their system so I hopefully get to keep my unlimited tethering as it won't be a new contract.

Tether

Yes, it is a bit disappointing regarding tethering, though I can see the 2GB increasing though once 4g becomes more wide spread. They have made the pay monthly one plan sim £15 again and that does include unlimited tethering.

While there are apps that allow you to call 0800 numbers for free I always forget to use them so knowing that I can just use the phone app would save hassle. I see no need for a landline anymore.

Never had a problem with 3 signal, though I think they have slowed my speeds down when I was going through a lot of data due to our broadband provider failing for a few days.
