to be blunt

Apparently because it hasn't been repaired before they won't do anything. I have to get it repaired a few times then they'll upgrade me. My luck says I will get a new one.

NO REPLACEMENT! I'm writing a letter to corporate, though. Who should I address it to?

With all due respect (and not just to flame someone), I have to say you seem like a scammer to me. I think it's reasonable for Apple to have the opportunity to fix your computer before you get a replacement.

As for Apple "quality control", try taking better care of your stuff. In your first post you noted that you had various chips and cracks in the MB. Take better care of your stuff and maybe it will take better care of you.

It's clear to me from your posts that you simply want your 2-3 year old MacBook replaced with the latest one, for free.

I hope Apple sticks to their guns on this. You appear to be abusing the system. If you want a new computer, save up and purchase one. Otherwise, enjoy your 2006 MB once it gets fixed.

Good luck,
m&c

looks like I was right

It appears caring for your stuff has been an ongoing issue...

Listen, I'm not trying to come down hard on you. But I re-read this thread and I find your posts offensive.

It's time for you to be mature and take some responsibility.

20 Apple product replacements and you're only 17-18 years old?? It's time for Apple to say "it's not me, it's you". Seriously, take a look at how you treat your stuff. You may find some clues there as to why your stuff "simply stops working".

I can take your crap. That's fine. But I have had 3 DIFFERENT MACBOOKS since 2006. You have no idea how meticulous I am with my stuff. I'm not even kidding. Everything is always in a case and invisible shielded (etc.). It's always looking like I just bought it. I don't have thousands of dollars to throw away and then not take care of my Apple stuff. I WANT my things to work from them. I don't want to have to get things replaced!

You're apparently not understanding this, but when something stops working or fails, It's not my fault.

Apple has taken good care of me up until this point. This time the ECR agent blew me off for 5 days, and left me computer-less. That's not my fault. IT's :apple:'s!

I love their stuff, and If I'm rich someday I'll buy thousands of dollars in stuff from them, despite my issues with the MacBook. I'm not out to scam Apple. I think they're an amazing company, but they kind of dropped the ball here (and I'm not even referring to getting a replacement). When the store treats me like crap, I have a problem with it. That's a big reason why I was out to get a replacement right away. If they promise me something, they need to follow through with it. I have people asking me all the time about my computer, and I of course say I love it (because I do), but I guess I'm just cursed. I don't know!

EDIT: If you're referring to my RAZR falling, FYI I was holding it with my shoulder when it fell and it worked fine after that. Then I switched to an iPhone anyways to dump Sprint. I can take your attacks. It's kind of funny to me really...

Well it must be bad luck because I treat those things like they're worth a million dollars!

EDIT: One product specialist said it could be a bad round of power adapters (I have 3), and one could be faulty (effectively frying the insides).

I'm going to push Apple to replace my MacBook (bought for $1900 in late 2006) with a new unibody MacBook Pro. Is that bad? I mean, I have had close to 20 Apple product replacements between all of my products. :(

Not trying to flame here so don't take it personally but...

You bought a MacBook twoish years ago, scammed, i mean had apple replace your products close to 20 times with product replacements, and you want a PRO??

IMO, you shouldn't even be getting a unibody. If you truly treat your products like $1000000, you shouldn't have had to have them replaced twenty times...
