I love this. The worldwide PowerPC community could be almost summed up by the regular posters on this forum :apple:

This is so cool to me. Glad someone here picked that example up. :) Really glad I stumbled onto this forum with all you folks who appreciate these older machines. I live in a fairly rural area, so there's not really any community around this kind of thing locally.

Back to share another interesting item Also, if y'all get tired of me doing this, please say so. I only do it because I figure it might help some folks here who are looking for specific classes of machines.

17" iMac G5 in what appears to be pristine condition, with the original box, manuals, and setup media. (Mods not mine!)

Found what is probably the best condition iBook I've ever seen this morning scrolling through my standard "Apple" search. It's an 800 MHz iBook G3, with the original box. (As always, mods, not mine)

Been after an iBook G3 for a long while, but I'm also in the UK so hard chance of getting that I'd imagine. Looks nice though. Had to set my VPN to USA to view it!

If you really wanted it and won the auction, you could have it shipped to me and I'd be happy to send it along to you for whatever it costs me to ship to you. I'm about two minutes from a Post Office so not a big deal to do. No clue how much it would cost to ship it to the UK though.

Really appreciate the offer, but I think I'll hold out for a while before buying another Mac. My collection has amassed quite quickly, so for the moment I'll just be trying to repair the ones I have that need repairing, cleaning them all up and finding spaces for them. But mark my words, the collection will keep growing again haha.

Tell me about it haha. I've acquired 8 in the last 3 weeks, I need restraining from :apple:
I'm an admitted hoarder. I bought what appeared to be a deceased hoarders hoard of iBooks, and Powerbooks last fall. I've since fallen in love lol. However, I have roughly 30 of these things.. Not quite sure what to do with all of them. Might have to thin the heard soon, before the wife hurts me

Sell em? Give em away? Both are done here.
Yeah, I think I'm going to start selling some of them off. They deserve a better life than just sitting on my shelf. However, I am keen on sitting on some of them as long as possible, in hope that a hipster will pay me an exorbitant of money for them 30 years from now. One can wish.

Hah!

I'm looking for a good condition 17" PB, if you have one to sell... :D

I've yet to even see one in the wild. Your best bet is to buy several being sold for parts on eBay, and then frankensteining them together for a working machine lol.

Is there any "shopgoodwill" alternative out there for European bargain hunters :D ? I know about "Shpock" which I've used in the past and scored a PowerBook G4 12" in pristine condition and also got a good deal on an ADC to DVI adapter. I'm mainly looking for something within the European Union in order to avoid taxes ... thanks

BTW: I got both items mentioned above from the UK so I hope Brexit won't become effective too soon since buying from UK sellers has been a fair and priceworthy experience for me to get vintage Apple stuff :p
