My question was will my current Magic Mounts from Scosche work with the magnets in the MagSafe back of the 12 Series. The answer is NO. There is a slight sensation of the magnets but it will NOT hold the phone.

I have the Magic Mount Pro's and even the XL. The iPhone will not adhere unless you use the metal plate from Scosche. Not a big surprise but I had not seen confirmation. So I will tape a plate inside the lower area on the Apple Silicon Case and it works fine and does not interfere with the MagSafe charging.

I noticed the same trying with an Apple Silicone Case and Scosche Magic Mount Qi. I've ordered this to see if it will work, as I'd prefer to go without the metal plate if possible.

How has the HaloLock vent mount worked for you?
It was a mixed picture - connection between the mount and phone was great (rock solid and no rotation despite lack of additional orientation magnet) but vent mount part did not work well with my vents.

I’ve since moved to this one and have been happy. Best vent mount mechanism I’ve ever used (at least for my vents). You can find it for cheaper on eBay but there are two versions - the one piece version (there’s also one that has two pieces which bond together magnetically) has a stronger MagSafe ring. Not sure why the negative reviews but one reason could be there’s a small plastic film over the magnet that needs to be removed in order for it to work well and some reports that folks not noticing it.

Good thing about most of these mounts is they all use a standard 17mm "garmin" mounting ball, which means mounting options are cheap and endless. you could put your halolock body on the Tozo vent mount.

Yeah, thanks, I understand - I also found the HaloLock body too big (both in terms of surface area and also how far it protrudes forward) compared to the Tozo, so I'm good
