Hi there,
On October 25, 2009 I brought a white MacBook from JB Hi-Fi (A well known brand in Australia/New Zealand) for a couple of hundred $$$ cheaper than normal as they were clearing stock out for the new MacBook.

I was wondering what my MacBook "model" would be as I hear there were multiple versions from 2006-2009 and they all appear the same to me so I have no idea when mine was from (it wasn't the one that was on display to customers, it was one from out the back, in its own box etc)... this probably sounds pretty stupid considering it came with a disk to install Snow Leopard and it was preloaded with Leopard (I'm pretty sure it was as I had to install SL) but I just wanna make sure about which model mine is.

Here's what it looks like:

and here's my "About This Mac" screenie:

Thanks in advance! 🙂

Plug the serial number of your machine into the search query here:

http://support.apple.com/specs/

That will give you the series of machines and Apple's name for that series.

EDIT: not the search in the top right, but the one that says "Search Tech Specs"
