I’ve always rode for Claude because it walks the the talk about safety and privacy. I absolutely regard this as an about-face.
Privacy? Anthropic is perhaps the only major player in this domain asking you for a phone number in order to open even a free tier account in them, which they share with their partners. And they will block you if you try to use a VPN. They behave like internet police, with the difference that real police never hands over private data to third parties. Although Claude 4 (Opus and Sonnet) are the best around for certain tasks, I would never open an account in them because of their policy. An I am not alone.

Okay here's a perfect example. I just asked ChatGPT to create me the map of the train system in Phoenix, AZ. The white map is the crappy totally inaccurate AI one, and the grey one is the actual train system.

It can't handle a 3 line train system, I am not going to trust it for MUCH of anything else at all. Literally overhyped tech pro BS "technology"

So many tech bros tell this OP that he didn’t do it right. While the incredibly obvious issue is that all mainstream AI tools have little to no error checking, a basic step for any semi-“intelligent” entity. The reality: these AI tools are being sold despite being broken alpha and beta level apps with horrible governance and quality policy controls led by incredibly greedy cyberselfish people.

To be honest, I’m having a hard job picturing the twisted ethical compass of someone who is fine with using a tool like this in the first place, but balks at the idea of it being trained on their own input.

Interesting to read; I work in clinical healthcare and my company has a 100%, no exceptions, blanket ban on AI. The domains are network-wide blocked.

I don't work anywhere near IT, but they aren't going anywhere.
with the changes marked in the big beautiful bill that might change. Healthcare is scrambling to cut costs. your company might not use it but im sure others. Im guessing if Epic isnt using it they are going to be quick to figure out how to leverage it to save money and maximize profits
