With video reviews on the new iMac now out, it looks like the screen is just as glossy as previous models. Are there any companies that have announced anti-glare/matte screen protector support for the new 24'' iMac?

dbrand released a black skin for the bezels/computer but it doesn't look like it offers any anti-glare features:

I think this is a classic case of "you think you do, but you don't".

You absolutely do not want to apply a 24" screen protector unless you have access to some sort of clean room. The larger the screen gets, the less likely it is to apply one of those screens properly without dust getting under it.

I'm using an anti-glare on my 21.5'' iMac right now, and it's a night & day difference for viewing comfort.

The difference is just as big as this Verge photo:

Just saw the new 24" iMac being set up in a store..... seemed less glossy / reflective than the previous gen.

Among the reasons I chose the Mac Mini in the past was being able to use it with a matt monitor. Occasional transportability was another factor. While my 2009 Mini continues to hang in, still with the original HDD, sooner or later it will fail. Way past being worth repairing, transportability no longer a requirement, and the improved screen, I am now leaning toward the new iMac to be my desktop for the decade ahead.
