I have an iphone that will need a replacement screen soon. The other thing is I want to know what antivirus do you use for iphone ios? Normally I am careful with what I click on and I someone had sent me a link to an address when I asked for it and I clicked on it. I am pretty sure that person didn't post a malicious link... but the issue is if that person isn't careful with their phone like most people aren't... then couldn't they have malware/virus on it and then send it to other people? I want to know what can I do now to check for any virus or malware on my iphone before I start logging into banking sites and things like that on my iphone.

Now if I were to factory reset it, obviously that would make it clean. However, is there a way to check for malware of any sort now and then remove it? I heard there is no antivirus for IOS because it isn't needed? There seems to be a lot of free ones in the ios app store like avast, malwarebytes and even kaspersky? I use paid kaspersky total on my windows laptop.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am pretty sure most people are not careful with what they click on their phone right? Like say you have a friend send you a link and you click on it and even though they aren't trying to send you a link with malware... if their phone has malware, is there concern to your iphone? The thing is had I not clicked on the link that person had sent me, I wouldn't be concerned of any malware or anything like that now. It was a link to a location but if they had malware on their phone, would there be any risk of malware on my phone? I heard you can't get malware on ios because it's linux based? So I don't really want to log into things like banking sites and things like that now on my phone because of this. I have no issue with my email like gmail or yahoo since well I'm always logged in all the time so it's not like I'm typing my gmail or yahoo email each time. I heard there isn't an antivirus in the app store that actually scans things? Is that true? I heard there is antivirus that would scan things in case you click on an ad... but I'm talking about if you already clicked on something that might have malware. Or should I not be concerned and just use my iphone as is?

I'm sure a search engine will bring many results to your questions. In case you are unfamiliar with web search engines like Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo, I've picked a link which will answer your questions if you choose to read it

My view is that it is impossible to give generic or blanket recommendations because many factors, including how a device is used, personal habits, attitudes, and preferences, the types of data stored on a device, and one's risk tolerance and risk profile, go into security and privacy decisions.

If it is desirable or necessary to harden an iPhone or iPad against attackers and intrusions, two products I think are worthwhile are Malwarebytes and iMazing.

The thing is I am not sure if the link the person sent me might have malware or keylogger. I am not concerned if that person may send it intentionally... but more so if their phone has malware so it could send send malware to my phone.

So there is no issue at all logging into online banking and things like that on my iphone then?

No, you'll be fine. The people who get malware on their devices are usually targeted for specific reasons. The malware producers don't spread their wares over the internet, as it will increase the risk that the bugs they use to install the software will get discovered by researchers and patched by Apple.

The thing is I had sent a business a message and they sent me a message back with a location to click on. So I don't know this person but this is someone that is sending the same location link to a lot of people that ask.

It's a place people go to so imagine a dentist office or some other similar office and people would ask where is the location. The receptionist would send the location link to you on the phone but how would I know if there is no malware at all on it?

This has nothing to do with downloading software from the apple store. I mean someone just sending you a link to an address location and you click on it and it the location shows it like on google map. But you don't know if there is anything malicious about that link after clicking on it.
