Hi, I just ordered a new 15 inch Macbook Pro, the first Mac that I'll actually be owning (although I used one in Junior High and enjoyed it greatly). This might be a dumb question, but do people actually install antivirus software on their macs?

Heh, I figured, I just kinda wanted to make sure.
don't waste your time and money. im frustrated enough with anti-virus on my sister's pc. because apple's market share is so small, people who make viruses dont want to waste their time on such a small platform
i use clamxav to scan ever now and then. don't know how effective it is cause it hasn't had any hits but it gives me peace of mind and was recommended by that chris pirrilo guy who seems pretty knowledgeable
I don't see the need to run "anti virus" on any of my Windows machines, let alone my Mac
