Does anyone know if there's antivirus software that supports Early 2009 Mac Mini (El Capitan)? All major antivirus software such Avira, Avast, and Sophos no longer support this older MacOS.

Give ClamXAV a try. The virus definitions list (which gets updated regularly) is now a subscription-only service, but I’ve been using it on older Macs since it was still donationware — including on an early ’09 MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard.

Are you sure about that? The Avast free antivirus for Mac website specifically says it supports El Capitan.

"We’re not demanding. All you need is a Mac running macOS 10.11 (El Capitan) or later"
From Avast during install: "This software requires Mac OS X version 10.13.0 or later". My El Capitan is at 10.1.6, but thanks as it looks like Avast, Avira and others must have recently dropped El Capitan.

Works, thanks. Not donationware though anymore, unfortunately.

Bummer. Hopefully MRT and XProtect are enough for now. Silent Knight can help you keep them up-to-date.

Of course, your Mac Mini is supported by @dosdude1's patchers for High Sierra and Mojave. Of the two, unless you really need Dark Mode, I'd recommend High Sierra (10.13).
