Based on what I am seeing for iPhone 13 (smaller notch, Pro Motion), it is hard to get excited about upgrading this year. Maybe I would consider the smaller version. But the 11 Pro Max is looking like the most refined, long lasting variant of the X design of phones, and it still performs beautifully today with zero performance issues. The 2022 iPhones apparently feature a huge leap in camera tech, which may merit an upgrade. Don't really see a reason to upgrade to the 12 this year either.

Yep. My 11 Pro Max has been reliable, and it's the first phone I've owned where I didn't immediately fill up the hard drive (though I'm getting closer as I re-rip my CD library into lossless). If they don't offer a 1TB option, I'll probably hold onto it for another year and replace the battery under AppleCare (it's already down to 88% maximum capacity, though it still lasts an entire day on a single charge).

Currently using an 11 pro, a big no for me. I am holding out for a bigger optical zoom before I upgrade. Really this phone works pretty well. Battery life is not stellar but good enough.

Yep, I will probably keep my 11 Pro Max for another year or 2, this phone has been excellent and it still seems to be the best battery life iPhone around, so I am definitely not going to leave it until something else arrives and makes the battery jump that the 11PM did.

Definitely want the following in my next iPhone:
- ProMotion Display
- Longer Zoom (I hope we get Periscope)
- Even better battery life than the amazing 11PM
- TouchID Option while keeping FaceID

I think some of my wishlist will come true in the iPhone 13 and some in the 14. Ultimately I think the iPhone that brings the next jump in chip manufacturing will be the most worthy upgrade from a 11 Pro Max, so whatever brings 3nm A series chip.

IPhone 13 doesn’t look like a super cycle model. One feature that could get attention is the addition of underscreen touch ID
However we’ve had good leakers sporadically mention this and then nothing more

Absolutely. I’m holding off for the iPhone 14 or even 15, if I can manage it. Before I upgrade, I’m looking for a promotion display (ideally with an always on display), Touch ID in addition to Face ID, and a much smaller notch if not missing completely. On that last point, I feel like I’ll need to wait until the iPhone 15 for that to arrive. My concern with waiting for that feature is that it may only launch on the Pro Max model, and I’ll only be purchasing the regular Pro model.
