Any advantage to upgrading baseband?

If I am using AT&T, is there any advantage to upgrading the baseband? I haven;t been upgrading it when jailbreaking to increase resale value, but if an upgraded baseband will lead to better performance I'd prefer to upgrade.

I don't think there is any advantage to upgrading the baseband, the only thing apple changes is fixing holes that unlockers might be able to use.
