I have a pair of Pros, but after a while they just really hurt my ears, even with the small tips.

Have been using a cheap $40 pair of Soundpeats that I generally like, but the lack of BT autoswitching between phone/laptop drives me crazy.

I was thinking about picking up the regular airpods, but don't love that:
- They are over a year old at this point
- Have no noise cancellation (honestly not sure if this would work well without a seal like the pros)

I do see that the average cycle is 820-940 days (2.5yrs or so) though which is a long time. Don't really want to wait another 1.5yrs or so. Just curious if anyone has seen other rumors around?

Their price point is also quite steep at $180 now given how much competition is out there. (I realize you can find sales for $140ish).

Hopefully they steer the product back in the AirPods 2 direction. Smaller buds for a lighter in ear feel, tap interaction vs pinch. (much easier to tap without having to gingerly get your fingers around the stalk to pinch and risk dislodging them when moving around)

I have one of every AirPod in my drawer here and the 3's get the least use by far.

Interesting take. I pretty much avoid any of the touch controls and just use my phone because I always find them fussy.

Pinch definitely seems like a horrible idea though.

Absolutely love my AP3s! I tried the APP2s but they made my tinnitus flair up due to the ANC :(

I really hope AP4s keep the same form factor, and bring over the swipe volume control of the AP2s. That was a huge improvement to me!

Airpods 3 sound really good to me (much better than Airpods 2) and the fit for me is fine. But everyone's ears are different.
If I lost my Airpods 3 today I'd go out immediately and buy another pair.
Noise cancelling with non sealed earphones will be a big technological challenge.
