Hello,
I'm about to buy a new iMac (after MWSF), and will be switching over from a PC. I have a set of Logitech 5.1 Z5300E speakers that I want to connect to my Mac, but from my understanding, it only accepts "digital" speakers. Mine are "analog". They attach to the back of my current PC by 3 jacks (front, rear, and sub). The iMac only has one port for attaching speakers - so I have a problem.
Users have suggested the Griffin Firewave (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/firewave/)
It seems like a great idea, but I'm in Canada, and it's unavailable from the Apple Canada store for some reason. Can't find it anywhere else either. Are there any alternatives? How can I get the iMac to play out of all 5 speakers and the sub? I really don't want to have to buy a new pair. Hope you can help!
Thanks!
