And if so, what kind of results are you getting (track counts/plug-in counts). Also, if you don't mind, please share system and sample rate info Thanks!
 
With Logic Express I never hit more then 30% CPU usage (of 200%). And that is with a fair bit of tracks and inserts going on.
 
I run Ableton Live on a PowerBook (2nd last revision) and it runs fine. So it should run even better on a MBP :)

Yup, should be fine with a MBP. I've met a few people now who've done a lot of mixing on last Rev PowerBooks and only recently switched to the MBP. Provided you've got the RAM you'll be fine.
 
I use MBP for Reason and Cubase. I will soon use Logic Pro as my main recording tool. The MBP is powerful and portable!:D :apple:
