Why do you state it's "unclear is Live Photos are animated when used as watch face when it's clearly acknowledged on the official WatchOS 2.0 page (http://www.apple.com/watchos-2/)?

I even posted a screenshot further up in this thread from Apple's watch page (the watch face overview/guide) that even says Live Photos can be used with the photo face. I'm not sure why he said it was unclear as well, it's documented it can in a few places.

I didn't catch it. Oh well. Even so, I'm not sure it's worth paying $500-$1,000 for a watch face alone. Though if OP was planning on already getting the 6S then I guess it's cool that there's at least one extra perk for the watch. Though technically you could probably make your own animated photos or download cool if you want them without he 6S too.

Thanks! There's no one reason I'm looking for to give me added incentive for getting the 6S. It's all the little things that add up.

The biggest reason to get an iPhone 6s is because it's a 6s and superior by quite a bit over the 6 and vastly over the 5s. Huge improvements in the A9 chip over the A7 and A8. 2gb of ram. Better camera. Faster wifi and LTE. Tougher in both the aluminum 7000 series and the new double ion glass.

I don't remember the 5S counting flights of stairs climbed - that was introduced with the iphone 6 right? so iphone 6S will do it too.

may be of interest to you if one of your reasons for getting apple watch was the fitness tracking aspect

I'm upgrading from the 6 to 6s, and am mostly excited about the live photos as a watch face. With watchOS 2 coming out the watch will do most of the processing and app logic by itself, so a new phone shouldn't speed that up at all. The only thing that may be better is the faster LTE / WiFi chips getting data for the watch? Not sure how noticeable that'd be though...

Depends where you are - ATT has much better bandwidth and higher speeds with LTE - I win the speed tests all the time with my LTE Verizon friends.

The OP is saying he's getting crappy signal with his ATT, so he's not experiencing what you're experiencing. In his case Verizon would likely give him a good boost.

if I should just jump ship with AT&T and maybe give T-Mobile a try instead. Though I'm on the "unlimited data" plan I never use much data on either phone and it seems that I rarely get a fantastic cell signal strength- almost as if AT&T is limiting my plan to lower cell tower speeds. Even in the middle of a larger city, I get like one dot or two on cell signal strength.
One experience I've had with AT&T, I'm in Baltimore and their coverage is generally excellent here, is using that Mark The Spot app. Whenever I'm in an area that has weak or slow coverage I use that app and have always received an update notification when they've increased coverage or speeds in that area. They'll even tell you if they added a tower or increased the LTE coverage. My feeling is that it works and is worth the time to initiate a report about coverage in the area.

Prior to getting the very first iPhone we were with Verizon and I was a little leery in switching to AT&T for the phone but found that the coverage was essentially the same but with a few areas such as where I work that were weak. Using that Mark the Spot to identify those areas got them corrected. It might not be effective for everyone but it's worth a shot. Generally though I find their coverage excellent up and down the east coast while my Sprint and T-Mobile friends constantly complain.
