I did. I had to drive an hour and a half away though. Bought it online for store pickup.
Not SS, but got a Nike+/LTE I was looking for last Fri. Online said they had it in stock, but the first salesperson I talked to doubted they would have it because a lot of pre-orders were still waiting. He was surprised when they had one left. Anyone could have walked in before me though, as my attempted online order was cancelled on my way down to the store.
Yeah, shipping is somewhat slow now, however, Apple stores and BestBuy still seem to be getting stock shipments beyond the pre-orders. I noticed a lot of 38/42 gold aluminum watches in my area in the last week or so. Some just showed up in online stock listings in the last half week.
I got a Series 3 stainless steel for same day pickup from Best Buy a couple of weeks ago by just checking the app throughout the day.
Same here. I placed an order (SG aluminum 38mm) that was supposed to deliver by 10/13 but I got tired of waiting. I’d been checking the “pick up today” stock for Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile within 1.5 hours away. Reserved it, picked it up on Columbus Day, canceled my original order. It seemed to me like the Best Buy Mobile stores got more of them in stock, with the gold and Nike models being the most popular. But they’re starting to get the other ones too, and both sizes. I’m glad I did that. I think I’d still be waiting on my original order.
They are not carrier locked by default... (Will only work on the agreed networks)
[doublepost=1508242892][/doublepost]I purchased 2 of them prior to my Apple one coming from China Direct... So if you keep an eye out, BB definitely gets them in sporadically! Just keep checking via in store pickup option or one of them said $5 extra and we will deliver next day to house/did that too.
Cool.... because when one of the people was checking out, it said “ATT AW3 Cellular/GPS” and the customer was on Verizon. So they didn’t buy it.
I was thinking that maybe the Apple watches were just like the cellular iPads (unlocked).
I ordered the SBSS Series 3 from Best Buy last Monday. It said it would ship out by 11/3, but it actually shipped on Thursday last week and arrived the following day. However, I noticed that now, the SBSS model no longer shows a date, and simply says they will email you with availability after you order, so not sure if that means they ran completely out of stock.
I got the nike + version the day after it hit stores. They had various SS in stores too. You can look up the watch and band combo you want and then select "in store pickup" and it will show you which stores have it. You can pay right there online to make sure it's reserved.
I was thinking about the SS but I couldn't justify the price. The watch finally has LTE, and is everything I've ever wanted, so I probably should have splurged, but my s2 look good as new (sold it now) and my reason for wanting the SS was the screen and only the screen.
