    Hey guys,

Today, I ran 3DMark API Overhead Test on my Mac Pro 5.1 (6x3.46, 12GB RAM, GTX 970), and was quite dissapointed. My system can handle the DirectX12 Version of the test at only about 9 000 000 draw calls per second. The average number for a system like mine should be way over 15 000 000. I know because the Mac EFI doesn't recognize the GPU BIOS, and communicates because of that at lowest bandwith (PCIe 1.1) with the GPU. My question is: Does this Problem also occur by using a flashed card? And is there any possibility to flash the PC versions of future Mac Pro GPUs just as the current one? For example, if the 2016 Mac Pro contained AMD Fury GPUs, you just could buy a regular Fury and flash the EFI? Or does this ony work for classic Mac Pro GPUs?

After proper flash, the card will run at PCIe 2.0 x16 in Windows. MVC provide this service.

You're asking if there will be a way to flash the undetermined GPUs of yet-to-be-announced computers?

    Maybe.

Doubtful as the EFI on the nMP is different from EFI on cMP. And the defined framebuffers don't match.

nMP has 2 framebuffers, one with 6 ports, one with 0 or 1. Neither has worked when flashed to similar cards.

Florian's work combined with Netkas' could possibly solve these issues but your question is similar to "Will 2017 MBP SSD work in 2014 MBP.?"

Only people who might know the answer have airtight NDAs they would be fools to come break just to be an Internet hero for a day.
