I need something that will detect when my cat is on my keyboard and make a sound to scare him off, this is my problem...

Your cat looks too evil to be scared by anything...

Looks like your cat enjoys a warm KB to relax.
Maybe try some cat-repellent spray near, but not on the KB.

There's definitely a 'make my day' vibe going on there.

    You could try iAlertU.

    Hi Sesshi

The iAlertU seems like a fun gadget for keeping the cat of the warm KB.

Perhaps you could put out a heated kitty bed that's more enticing than the warm Mac keyboard.

    That made me laugh. :)

I have 2 cats here too... but they are somehow polite enough to stay off my computers, one likes to sit on my wacom tablet though.

It's rather difficult to get them to stop doing something once they enjoy it.

iAlertU is certainly worth a try.

Or put iTunes in front so that space starts the music, max the volume and make it play something like Slayer, then again, your cat looks like he likes heavy metal. :)
